From Belopa, the journey continues to Karangan Village using a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle or trail bike due to the uphill and rocky road conditions.

In Karangan Village, homestay facilities managed by local residents are available. These facilities are quite adequate, providing local specialty meals and resting places before starting the hike. Along the hiking trail, facilities are limited to flat areas for setting up tents at each post. Abundant water sources are available up to Post 7, a luxury rarely found on other high mountains in Indonesia.
