- Unlock more factsEach wrong guess reveals another fact about the place. If you run out of guesses, the answer is shown.
- Keep your streak, grow your collectionA correct guess extends your daily streak and unlocks that place’s card in your collection. The next puzzle arrives at midnight WIB.
Questions about the game
How many guesses do I get per puzzle?
Four on a normal day and three on hard days. Each wrong guess reveals another fact about the place; if you run out of guesses, the answer is shown.
How are my results recorded?
There is no points score. Each day is recorded as a win or a loss, with the number of guesses you used. A win extends your daily streak and unlocks that place’s card in your collection; the leaderboard ranks players by their current streak.
Is GeoKepo free?
Yes. The daily puzzle, practice mode, card collection and the whole encyclopedia are free, with no account required.
What is practice mode?
Practice mode gives you extra puzzles any time without affecting your daily streak — a low-pressure way to learn Indonesian geography.
How does the streak system work?
Your streak counts the consecutive days on which you solved the daily puzzle. Every win extends it; failing a puzzle or skipping a day starts it again from zero.
What do the Common, Rare and Epic tiers mean?
Common (grey), Rare (blue) and Epic (purple) reflect how hard a place’s silhouette is to recognise. The tier is scored from its area, coastline and number of islands — small, coastal, many-island places are harder, so rarer.
Can GeoKepo be played offline?
Yes. GeoKepo is a Progressive Web App (PWA) you can install from the browser. The daily puzzle is stored on your device, and guesses made offline are sent when you are back online.
