The main activity here is, of course, enjoying the beauty of the waterfall itself. Visitors can play in the clear and cold river water below the waterfall. Additionally, nature photography is a major draw; the viewpoint from the wooden bridge spanning in front of the waterfall is the best spot to capture Tirtosari's grandeur. For meditation lovers, the calm morning atmosphere is very conducive for relaxation amidst nature.

Along the trekking path, there are also small stalls owned by locals offering local culinary experiences, such as grilled rabbit or mushroom satay, as well as warm ginger drinks that are perfect to enjoy in the cool mountain air.

To get the best visual experience, the recommended time to visit is in the morning between 08:00 and 10:00 WIB. During these hours, sunlight begins to penetrate the gaps in the trees, creating a magical Ray of Light effect as it touches the water vapor around the waterfall.

Seasonally, Tirtosari Waterfall has different attractions. During the rainy season, the water discharge increases drastically, showing nature's extraordinary power, but visitors must be more careful as the trekking path can become more slippery. Conversely, during the dry season, the water discharge decreases but becomes very clear, and the hiking trail is much safer and more comfortable to traverse.

As part of the buffer zone of Mount Lawu, Tirtosari Waterfall is under the supervision of Perhutani (State Forestry Company) and managed jointly with the local community. Its status as a natural tourist destination demands high environmental awareness. Conservation efforts are focused on protecting the watershed (DAS) to ensure a stable water supply throughout the year.

The management implements strict rules regarding cleanliness, especially the prohibition of discarding plastic waste and damaging plants along the path. Tourists are strongly encouraged to bring back their trash or dispose of it in designated group collection points in the facility area. Awareness to preserve this ecosystem is important so that Tirtosari's springs can continue to sustain the residents below and become a heritage for future generations.

Access to Tirtosari Waterfall is relatively easy due to its proximity to the Sarangan Lake tourist attraction. From Magetan City center, the land journey takes about 30-40 minutes via smooth uphill roads with typical mountain scenery. Vehicles can be parked in the Sarangan Lake parking area or in special parking pockets closer to the trekking path entrance.

Public facilities around Tirtosari Waterfall are quite adequate. There are gazebos for resting, clean toilets, and a prayer room. The trekking path, which has been paved with cement and arranged stones, makes this destination family-friendly, although it still requires a fit physical condition to complete the walking journey.
