Among the mangrove roots, the underwater ecosystem serves as a natural breeding ground for mud crabs, tiger prawns, and various unique mudskipper species that are capable of "walking" on the mud.

One of the unique features that distinguishes Pandansari from other mangrove tourism spots is the access to the main location. Visitors do not arrive directly at the forest but must take a motorized boat ride from the pier for about 15 to 20 minutes.

On a daily basis, it is recommended to visit in the morning between 07:00 - 09:00 when the air is still cool, or in the afternoon between 15:30 - 17:30 to avoid the scorching Pantura sun and to wait for the sunset moment. Pandansari Mangrove Forest is managed by the Community-Based Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) Dewi Mangrove Sari along with the local community. This area is designated as a self-managed conservation area aimed at mitigating abrasion disasters and preserving coastal ecosystems. The management enforces strict rules for visitors, such as prohibiting littering into the water and damaging tree branches. The success of Pandansari is often used as a benchmark for other regions in community-based environmental management.

Accessibility and Facilities

Access to the location is quite easy. From Brebes city center, you only need to travel about 7-10 kilometers north towards Kaliwlingi Village. The roads are paved and accessible by private vehicles, both motorcycles and cars.

The facilities available in the tourist area are quite adequate, including:

• Culinary stalls serving coastal specialties such as grilled fish, soft-shell crab, and fish bone crackers.
