2. Enjoying the "Saltwater Lake" Phenomenon: One of Jikumerasa's unique features is the presence of seawater pools trapped in sand hollows during low tide, forming natural pools that resemble small lakes. Tourists often use these pools for safe bathing.

3. Local Culinary Tourism: In between physical activities, visitors can savor the legendary Rujak Jikumerasa. This rujak uses a thick peanut sauce with a distinctive sweet and sour flavor, enjoyed while gazing at the eastern or western horizon.

4. Landscape Photography: With a backdrop of green hills in the distance and the symmetrical curve of the beach, this place is a paradise for landscape photographers.

Best Time to Visit

To get the best visual experience, tourists are advised to visit between April to June or September to November. During these periods, the monsoon winds are generally calm, making the sea surface appear like a mirror and the water clarity at its maximum level.

If you wish to witness a spectacular sunset, come in the late afternoon around 5:00 PM WIT (Western Indonesian Time). Jikumerasa's sky at dusk often transforms into a canvas of reddish-orange hues, perfectly reflecting on the calm sea surface.

Conservation and Environmental Protection Efforts

Awareness of the importance of preserving Jikumerasa Beach is growing among the local community and regional government. This area is emphasized as a green tourism zone. Protection efforts include a ban on taking live coral and restrictions on the use of destructive fishing gear around the tourist area. Visitors are strongly urged not to leave plastic waste and to maintain the physical integrity of the coral reefs while snorkeling. The sustainability of Jikumerasa heavily relies on the environmental ethics practiced by every visitor.

Accessibility and Supporting Facilities

Reaching Jikumerasa Beach is now easier. This destination is about a 20 to 30-minute drive from Namlea, the capital of Buru Regency. The road to the location is well-paved and can be accessed by two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles. For tourists from outside the island, the journey begins with a flight to Namniwel Airport or by fast boat from Ambon City to Namlea Port.

Although it is quite hidden, the facilities at Jikumerasa Beach are quite adequate. There is a spacious parking area, several wooden gazebos (lopo-lopo) for relaxation, and clean restroom facilities. Some accommodations and homestays are also starting to be available around Jikumerasa Village for tourists who wish to experience the evening ambiance by the beach.
