Access to Sipora Island is now easier with the fast boat service (Mentawai Fast) from Muaro Port, Padang, which takes about 3 to 4 hours to reach Tua Pejat.

Best Time to Visit:

• April to October: This is the peak season for surfers as the waves are at their best (peak swell). The weather tends to be clear, ideal for outdoor activities.
• November to March: Suitable for tourists seeking tranquility. Although rainfall is higher, the island becomes much quieter, and accommodation costs are usually lower. This is a great time for families to enjoy the island without large crowds.

Visitors are advised to always carry enough cash, although ATMs are available in Tua Pejat, as well as mosquito repellent and sun protection gear. Respecting local customs, such as dressing modestly when in residential areas, is highly appreciated by the local residents.
