It should be noted that in June and July, the east wind sometimes brings quite strong waves, so visitors are advised to always monitor weather forecasts from the local BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency).

Accessibility and Facilities

Reaching Pulau Dua Balantak requires a challenging effort, but that's what preserves its authenticity. The journey begins from Luwuk, the capital of Banggai Regency. From Luwuk, tourists must travel by land for approximately 3 to 4 hours to Kampangar Village in North Balantak District. The road to this location winds along the coast and hills, offering beautiful scenery.

Upon arrival at Kampangar Village, the journey continues by renting a motorboat from local fishermen (often called perahu katinting). The crossing to the island takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Regarding facilities, due to its natural status, there are no luxury accommodations or restaurants on the island itself yet. Facilities such as homestays, food stalls, and public toilets are available in Kampangar Village, which serves as the main basecamp before crossing to the island. Visitors are advised to bring sufficient drinking water and food supplies, as well as sun protection gear like hats and sunscreen due to the intense sun on the hilltops.
