This rock structure is the result of mineral deposition over thousands of years, creating a wide and gentle surface that allows water to flow like a spreading silver curtain.

While the height of this waterfall is not very imposing, its width gives it a majestic impression. The water originates from very clear and cold mountain springs, which traverse through limestone (karst) crevices. The presence of this limestone also often makes the water at Humogo appear turquoise when exposed to sunlight at certain angles, creating a dramatic visual effect for every visitor.

Located in Fadoro Village, Gunungsitoli Idanoi District, Humogo Waterfall is surrounded by dense secondary forest vegetation. The morning between 08:00 and 10:00 AM Western Indonesian Time is the ideal time to visit. During these hours, sunlight begins to penetrate the gaps in the forest canopy, creating a God's ray phenomenon that reflects on the water surface and the thin mist around the waterfall.

As one of the leading tourist destinations in Gunungsitoli, Humogo Waterfall is under the supervision of the local government, involving the village community. Awareness of the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the river basin (DAS) is a top priority. Visitors are strictly prohibited from throwing plastic waste into the water or damaging the rock formations.

Its status as a natural tourist area also functions as a buffer zone to protect the springs used by the surrounding community. Therefore, maintaining the preservation of the forest upstream of Humogo Waterfall is the key to ensuring the beauty of this destination remains preserved for future generations.

One of Humogo Waterfall's advantages is its relatively easy accessibility compared to other waterfalls on Nias Island. From the center of Gunungsitoli City, the journey only takes about 15 to 20 minutes by motorized vehicle, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled. The road to the location is well-paved, although there are some uphill climbs and turns typical of hilly areas.

• Pedestrian paths (paving blocks) to the main point.
• Gazebos for resting.
• Sanitation facilities such as toilets and changing rooms for visitors who have finished swimming.
