However, after the rain subsides in the afternoon, rainbows or unique cloud formations that are not found in the summer often appear.

As part of the national park buffer zone, environmental preservation in Mount Luhur is a top priority. Tourists are strongly urged to apply the Leave No Trace principle. Plastic waste is a serious concern for the management and the community of Citorek Kidul Village.

Protection efforts are carried out by limiting permanent construction on the hilltop to avoid damaging the soil structure and the original ecosystem. Tourists are strictly prohibited from taking flora or disturbing the wild fauna in the area. The existence of this tourism is expected to be an alternative economic source for local residents so that they also help protect the forest from illegal logging.
