There is no massive concrete construction at the main steam points to preserve the integrity of the soil structure and the natural geothermal circulation.

The distance is approximately 40-50 kilometers, with a travel time of about 1.5 to 2 hours by motorized vehicle. The road conditions vary, from asphalt to rocky paths that traverse hills with stunning valley views.

Facilities at the location are currently basic to maintain the natural feel. There are several lopo (traditional NTT huts) for resting and a parking area. Tourists are advised to bring enough drinking water and food ingredients they wish to cook, as there are not always food vendors available at the location.
