If visiting during the rainy season, the water discharge will increase drastically (flood), which, while good for professional rafting, is less recommended for family tourism due to the very strong currents and the tendency for the water to be murky, carrying sediment from the forest.

A unique phenomenon occurs during low water levels, where sandy and gravel "beaches" emerge at the wide river bends. These areas are often used by residents and tourists for camping or simply sitting to enjoy the sunset by the river.

Tourist facilities along the Rawas River are continuously developing. At several strategic points, small piers, local boat rentals, and homestays managed by local residents are available.
