During this period, the sky tends to be clearer, allowing the sunrise phenomenon to be clearly visible without being obstructed by thick clouds. However, for those who want to see the most dramatic "Sea of Clouds," come at the end of the rainy season or during the season transition, as high humidity triggers denser fog formation in the valleys.

It is recommended to arrive at the location before 05:30 WITA to not miss the moment the sky changes color from dark blue to golden orange.

Although developed as a commercial tourist destination, conservation aspects remain a primary concern. The management and local community recognize that Karomba's main attraction is its pristine nature. Environmental protection efforts are carried out by limiting permanent construction that could damage the soil structure on the hillsides.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to follow the Leave No Trace principle. Given its upstream location, waste management is crucial to avoid polluting the river basin below. Awareness of preserving the native vegetation around the cliffs is continuously being raised to prevent soil erosion that could trigger landslides.

From the center of Pinrang City, the journey covers a distance of approximately 50 to 60 kilometers, taking about 2 to 3 hours. The terrain is quite challenging, consisting of steep, winding roads with views of ravines and forests along the sides. It is highly recommended to use a vehicle with a healthy engine and an experienced driver familiar with mountain terrain.
