The road access to Tonusu Village is quite good and paved.

Upon reaching the main entrance gate, visitors must walk about 500 meters through a well-maintained path. This path is surrounded by local residents' chocolate and coffee plantations before entering the protected forest area. Facilities at the location have been developed for tourist convenience, including a parking area, gazebos for resting, changing rooms, and toilets. There are also several local stalls selling Poso's local snacks near the entrance area.

Visits to Saluopa Waterfall are greatly influenced by the rainfall patterns in Central Sulawesi. The best time to visit is during the dry season or the transition season (between May and September). During this period, the water discharge tends to be stable, and the water is very clear, with a blue-green hue that contrasts with the brown rocks.

During the rainy season, the water discharge increases drastically. Although it appears more majestic and roaring, the water tends to be murkier, carrying material from upstream, and some climbing points may become more challenging due to strong currents. It is highly recommended to visit in the morning around 08:00 to 10:00 WITA to get the best natural lighting filtering through the tree canopy.
