The main entrance to Sebangau National Park through the Pulang Pisau and Palangkaraya areas is the Kereng Bangkirai Pier. From Palangkaraya city center, the land journey takes only about 20-30 minutes.

Facilities at the main gate area are quite adequate, with an information center, boat rentals, local food stalls, and experienced tour guides. For those who wish to experience an overnight stay in the middle of the forest, there are several accommodations or homestays managed by the local community, as well as research facilities at the Sebangau Peat Swamp Forest Nature Laboratory (LAHG) which can be visited with special permission.
