The presence of large trees along the coastline also serves as a corridor for local fauna such as long-tailed macaques, which are sometimes seen in the hilly areas directly bordering the beach.

Specifically, these months often coincide with the Larung Sembonyo tradition, a traditional sea offering ceremony performed by the Prigi fishing community as a form of gratitude. This ceremony usually falls in the month of Sela in the Javanese calendar. Visiting Prigi during Larung Sembonyo offers a double experience: natural beauty and authentic cultural richness.

Access to Prigi Beach is now easier thanks to the construction of the South Cross-Line (JLS), which connects Trenggalek with neighboring regencies like Tulungagung. The smooth asphalt road with dramatic hilly views makes the journey to the location part of the recreation itself. The distance from the center of Trenggalek city is approximately 48 kilometers, which can be reached in about 1 to 1.5 hours.
