Reaching Tigi Valley requires an adventurous spirit. The main entrance to Deiyai Regency is through Nabire city. From Nabire, visitors can take a pioneer flight to Waghete Airport, located right on the edge of Lake Tigi. Another alternative is via land route using inter-regency vehicles (4WD) along the Trans-Papua road, which offers extraordinary forest views, with a travel time of about 6 to 8 hours from Nabire.

In Waghete, as the administrative center of Deiyai Regency, adequate basic facilities are available. There are several simple accommodations (homestays) managed by local residents, allowing tourists to experience typical Papuan hospitality. Communication and electricity facilities are continuously developing, although they are still limited in certain points.
