Another alternative is by land from Nabire, following the Trans-Papua road, which takes about 5 to 7 hours by a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle. This land journey itself is a tourist attraction as it passes through dense tropical rainforests and steep cliffs.

Tourist facilities in Kamuu Valley are still very basic (rustic). There are no star-rated hotels in the area, but simple accommodations and guesthouses are available in the center of Moanemani town.
