Below the cascade, there is a natural pool that is not too deep, surrounded by large river rocks whose surfaces are covered in green moss, giving an ancient and natural impression.

For nature photographers, Tamasapi offers dramatic angles. The lighting effects that penetrate the gaps in the trees in the morning (ray of light) create a magical and very photogenic atmosphere. Additionally, the area around the river flow below the waterfall is perfect for family picnics. Sitting on a large rock while enjoying packed food amidst the sounds of nature is an unparalleled relaxing experience.

Determining the best time to visit is crucial for maximizing the experience at Tamasapi Waterfall. The dry season (between June and September) is the ideal time for those who want clear water and calm water flow for swimming. However, for lovers of visual grandeur, the end of the rainy season is when Tamasapi Waterfall shows its true power; the abundant water flow makes the roar of the cascade audible for hundreds of meters.

It is recommended to arrive at the location in the morning around 08:00 to 10:00 WITA. During these hours, the air temperature is still cool, and the sun's position allows light to enter the valley floor, providing perfect natural lighting for exploration and photography.

Conservation Status and Environmental Protection

As a valuable natural asset, Tamasapi Waterfall is under the supervision of the local government and indigenous communities. Conservation efforts are focused on protecting the upstream river basin (DAS) to maintain a stable water flow throughout the year. The community of Tamasapi Hamlet has local wisdom in maintaining the cleanliness of the site, regularly cleaning the area of inorganic waste.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to apply the Leave No Trace principle. Protection of the flora and fauna around the waterfall is very strict; it is strictly forbidden to take forest plant seedlings or disturb the existing wildlife to maintain the sustainability of this fragile ecosystem.

Accessibility and Supporting Facilities

One of Tamasapi Waterfall's advantages is its relatively close location to the center of Mamuju city, only about 4 to 5 kilometers away. The journey can be made by two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles with a travel time of less than 20 minutes from the city center. After reaching the parking area, visitors only need to walk a few hundred meters through a well-maintained path.

The Mamuju Regency government has built several supporting facilities to enhance tourist comfort, including:

• Pathways: Cement stairs equipped with safety handrails to facilitate access down to the waterfall base.
• Gazebos (Bale-bale): Strategic resting spots to enjoy the view without being directly exposed to water spray.
• Public Facilities: Toilets and changing rooms are available for visitors after swimming.
• Local Stalls: Around the parking area, there are stalls owned by residents selling snacks and local produce like durian (when in season).
